Marjorie L. Zook
Marjorie L. Zook, 79, 200 S.W. 14th, homemaker, died Wednesday (Dec. 15, 1999) at Friendly Acres Retirement Community in Newton.
She was born July 18, 1920, in Newton to Percy and Chloe (Burkett) Finley. She married Harold R. "Red" Zook June 22, 1941, in Reno, Nev. He preceded her in death Feb. 14, 1996.
She was a member of First Christian Church in Newton, VFW Auxiliary and Lady Elks.
She enjoyed music and reading.
Survivors include: one daughter, Sharon Adrian of Salina; two sons, Kent Zook of Santa Fe, N.M., and Randy Zook of Matsudo, Japan; and four grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Keith Finley and Merle Finley; and one sister, Phyllis Smith.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Pam Martinez from Friendly Acres officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials have been established with Friendly Acres in care of the funeral home.
