Roy D. 'Lollypop' Lolmaugh
SHIRLEY, Ark. -- Roy D. 'Lollypop' Lolmaugh, 75, retired exchange repairman for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co., died Thursday (Dec. 23, 1999) at Indian Rock Village in Fairfield Bay, Ark.
He was born July 6, 1924, in Newton to Walter and Helen (Thimm) Lolmaugh. He married Marian Neises. She survives of Shirley, Ark.
He was a member of Telephone Pioneers, Lions Club, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Fairfield Bay, Knights of Columbus and a volunteer fire department.
He was a World War II veteran, where he served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Fairfield Bay Veterans of Foreign War, Veterans of Foreign War honor guard and American Legion.
He had been a resident of Arkansas since 1985.
Other survivors include: one son, Steven Pelz of Wichita; two daughters, Doreen Hibbard of Nixa, Mo., and Victoria Van Becelaere of Pittsburg, Kan.; one sister, Loraine Wiseman of Wichita; and nine grandchildren.
Vigil service will be 7 p.m. Friday (Jan. 7, 2000) at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Fairfield Bay. Funeral liturgy will be 10 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 8, 2000) also at the church with Father Francis Colavechio officiating. Graveside services will follow at Woodland Memorial Park with military honors by Veterans of Foreign War Post No. 4513.
Memorials have been established with St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and the Fairfield Bay Lions Club in care of Olmstead Funeral Home Inc., P.O. Box 910, Heber Springs AR 72543.
