Arthur H. "Art" Enz, 77,
retired owner and operator of Enz Auto Glass and Trim, died today
(Dec. 30, 1999) at Newton Medical Center.
Funeral services will be announced
later by Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.

Arthur H. 'Art' Enz
Arthur H. "Art" Enz, 77, retired owner and operator of Enz Auto Glass and Trim in Newton, died Thursday (Dec. 30, 1999) at Newton Medical Center.
He was born April 10, 1922, in Newton to Henry and Lydia (Toevs) Enz. He married Edna Schmidt Dec. 7, 1944, in Newton. She survives of Newton.
He attended Newton public schools and was a 1941 graduate of Newton High School.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from Nov. 21, 1942 to Dec. 9, 1945. He was partner with his father of Enz Auto Glass and Trim in downtown Newton from 1945 until his father's death in 1971. He operated the business on his own from 1971 to 1998, when he formerly retired.
He was a member of First Mennonite Church in Newton. He made daily trips to Druber's Donut Shop to catch up on community news and be with friends.
Other survivors include: three sons, James "Jim" Enz, Michael W. "Mike" Enz and Kevin E. Enz, all of Newton; one brother, Jacob J. Enz of Elkhart, Ind.; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Gertrude Harms.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at First Mennonite Church in Newton with the Revs. Clarence Rempel and Duane Harms officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday with family greeting friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.
Memorials have been established with First Mennonite Church in care of the funeral home.
