Inez McElwain
HALSTEAD -- Inez McElwain, 93, of Halstead, former registered nurse at Hertzler Clinic in Halstead, died Tuesday (Nov. 30, 1999) at Halstead Hospital.
She was born March 23, 1906, in Augusta to James Walter and Bertha Estella (Moser) McElwain.
She was a lifelong resident of Halstead. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star No. 407, Halstead Hospital Nurses Alumni and Halstead Hospital Auxiliary, all in Halstead.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Ivyl McElwain, Fearl McElwain, Roy McElwain and Ernest McElwain; and one sister, Vera Willm.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Halstead with the Rev. James Mardock officiating. Burial will be in the Halstead Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday with family greeting friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Kaufman Funeral Home in Halstead.
Memorials have been established with Kansas Learning Center for Health in care of the funeral home.
