Rev. Elmer George Brinkmeyer

The Rev. Elmer G. Brinkmeyer, 60, former Newton resident, died Wednesday in Lake View, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held here Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the United Church of Christ with the Rev. Alfred Barter officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

The body will arrive Friday at Draper's Funeral Home.

The Rev. Mr. Brinkmeyer, pastor of the Congregational Church in Lake View, was born Dec. 19, 1905 in Seward, Nebr.

His parents were Fredrick and Elizabeth Brinkmeyer.

He married Elizabeth Tangeman in Newton on Aug. 23, 1925.

In addition to his widow, survivors include one son, Eugene of Yankton, S.D.; three sisters, Mrs. John (Frieda) Kater and Mrs. Gerald (Florence) Rossa of Newton and Mrs. M.C. (Esther) Patrick of Wichita; and three grandchildren.
