Mrs.Glenn was 83 years old. She and her husband and their fine family of children came to Kansas from Missouri in 1901, settling on a farm in Darlington township. Their home soon became the rendezvous for the young people of the neighborhood, for Mr. and Mrs. Glenn welcomed all the youth of the countryside to their place for wholesome fun and good times.
In 1916 she and Mr. Glenn moved to Newton. He passed away several years ago. Surviving her are 11 children, 24 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Children surviving are Mrs. Luella Jewell of Valley Center; Chas. Sherman Glenn of Hooker, Okla.; Mrs. Florence Carson of Winifred, Mont.; Mrs. Eleanor Taylor of Sherman, Texas; Mrs. Della May Burler, Sturgeon, Mo.; Walter William Glenn, Kansas City, Kas.; Mrs. Clara Eveline Fleming, Norfolk, Neb.; Elmer Glenn, Sedgwick; Mrs. Katie Foushee and Miss Eunice Glenn of San Francisco, Calif. and George Harrison Glenn of Durham, Calif.
