Obituary

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- Elnora E. Fischer, 78, died Tuesday (May 7, 2002) at East Ridge Hospital in East Ridge, Tenn. She was born March 1, 1924, to Harry D. and Agnes E. (Zarnowski) Hinton in Sedgwick. They preceded her in death. She married N.E. Fischer Sept. 21, 1947, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. He preceded her in death July 13, 1968. She graduated from Sedgwick High School and attended Wichita Business College. She worked for Boeing in Wichita and General Motors in Southgate, Calif. In 1965 she moved with her husband to Tulsa, Okla., where she worked for TG&Y. JoAnn Fabrics and K-Mart. She enjoyed spending time with relatives and friends and going to flea markets. She moved to Chattanooga, Tenn., n 2001 where she resided until her death.
Survivors include: a son, Brad Fischer of Tulsa, Okla., a daughter, Linda Grissom of Ooltewah, Tenn'; a brother, Harry Hinton of Newton; three sisters, Billie Vetter of Newton, Pat Coffman of Sedgwick and Mary Talbott of Stanwood, Wash., and a grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a Brother, Gene Hinton.
Recitation of the rosary will be 7 p.m. Sunday at Petersen Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hillside Cemetery with the Rev. Floyd McKinney of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church officiating.
Memorials have been established with the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.
