Silas Carl Mannon
Silas Carl Mannon, 86, 317 E. 6th, a lifetime resident and retired employee of the Santa Fe Railroad, died Monday at Bethel Deaconess Hospital.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Petersen Funeral Chapel with Rev. Richard Fowler officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
He was born July 30, 1890, near Walton, the son of Harve and Caroline Mannon.
He was a member of Hall's Chapel AME Church and the Rising Sun Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include the widow, Luella, of the home; one daughter, Alisa, of the home; one stepdaughter, Ruby Mitchell, Rhinebeck, N.Y.; one stepson Roscoe Foreman, Chicago: and five grandchildren.
