Mrs. Flora E. Wade nee Folsom, was born July 8, 1871, at Imlay City, Mich., and came to the end of life's pathway, May 21, 1922 at Newton, Kansas.

On December 19, 1888 she was united in marriage to Fred Wade. This union was blessed with three children, Melvin, Edna, (Mrs. Murry Schanbacher) and Anna (Mrs. Rex Black). She was converted at the age of nineteen years and united with the Methodist church. Later she became affiliated with the Evangelical church.

In the year 1896 she, with her husband and family moved to Newton, where she resided until death.

She was a kind and loving wife and mother, devoted to her home and family. besides her husband and three children, three grandchildren, three brothers, three sisters and other relatives survive to mourn her untimely death.
