Obituary

Thelma E. (Sally) Williams, 86, formerly of Halstead died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2000 at Schowalter Villa in Hesston.

Born June 12, 1913 at Miltonvale, she was the daughter of Alson and Grace (Feeley) Durkee. A resident of Halstead until 1997, moving to Schowalter Villa, she was a stenographer at Cessns Aircraft in Wichita before retiring.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and the Ruth Wilson American Legion Post 231 Auxiliary, all of Halstead.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Chester, Glenn and Eldred Durkee and a sister Millie Wandschmeider.

Services were held at the First United Methodist Church, Halstead with burial in Halstead Cemetery.
