Paul Eugene Corkill, 77, Allen, Texas, former Sedgwick resident, died Monday, July 5, 1993 at HCA Medical Center, Plano, Texas.

He was born Oct. 5, 1915 at Sedgwick, son of James Edward and Cora Dodson Corkill. He was a vewteran of WWII and served in the European-African Middle Eastern Theater with General Geoge Patton where he received a purple heart, good conduct medal and the bronze service arrowhead. A resident of Allen, Texas, he was a retired cementer for Haliburton Company. He was a former member of the VFW DAV annd Eagles Club, all of Great Bend, Kansas.

Survivors: daughter, Carolyn J. Moudy, Allen, Texas; four sons, Jack Edward Corkill, ElDorado; Clyde Spencer Corkill, Lawrence; William Allen Corkill, Great Bend, and David Gene Corkill, Dallas, Texas; sister, Mildred Jones, Betheda, Maryland; 16 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Graveside service was held July 8, in the Hillside Cemetery at Sedgwick. Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, McKinney, Texas was in charge of arrangements.
