Obituary

Death claimed the life of William Hays Hanselman Sunday. He was a farmer in this community most of his life. He was born near Burrton August 6, 1876 and deparated this life April 11, 1948 at the Halstead Hospital, age 71 years 8 months 5 days.

Mr. Hanselman, was born on a farm near here and had lived both on the farm and in Burrton. About five years ago he and his wife moved from Burrton to a farm southwest of town.

On June 20, 1900 he married Nettie Myers. To this union was born three children, of whom William Myers has preceded him in death on August 19, 1926. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Farrell Carmichael of Sedgwick and one son, Waldoo H. of the home; five grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Ephriam Pinkston of Cedar Point, Kansas; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held at the Burrton Christian church with Rev. A. R. Brown of Hutchinson and Rev. Floyd Shively of Burrton officiating. Burial was in the family lot in the Burrton cemetery.
