Obituary

Joel Abner Moore was born November 20, 1837 in Lawrence Dist., South Carolina. He moved to Mississippi when 7 years of age. He married Permelia Hunt January 20, 1865. One son and one daughter were born to them but both died in early life.

In 1868 he joined the church of Christ, when sick, and told the Savior would cost him his life, but he obeyed and from that day his health improved.

In 1872 he came to Kansas to live on a farm until 1874 when he moved to Burrton. Here he has lived ever since, honored by all who knew him.

He died May 9, 1905 aged 67 years, 5 months, 19 days. He leaves a wife and two foster children, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
