Obituary

Karl Linford Matlack, son of Charles Ephrom and Emma Jane Matlack was born April 22, 1887 on the home place where he resided at the time of his passing from this life May 2, 1958 at the age of 71 years and 10 days. He was married to Nellie May Carmichael January 14, 1912. To this union were born 5 sons, Everett of Chase, Ks; Harley of Casper, Wyoming; Neil and Wayne of Burrton and Virgil of Sterling, Colorado.

He was interested in the civic affairs of the community and actively engaged in farming on the home place and carried on the family trade as a carpenter throughout his life. Karl's health has been failing the past three years and death was caused by a heart attack, following an operation in a local hospital. He was an affectionate, faithful husband and father. His greatest concern was for his wife, sons, and their families.

Services were held at the Pleasant Grove Church and Burial was in the Burrton Cemetery
