Obituary

Mrs. Docia Mae Stone, 75, died Monday morning, March 26, 1973 at the Mary-L Nursing Home in Burrton. Born March 27, 1897 at Burrton, she was married to Austin "Punk" Stone on January 3, 1920 in Hutchinson. He died in 1971.

Mrs. Stone was a life-long resident of Burrton. She was a member of the Burrton United Methodist Church, Eastern Star, OAO Club and a charer member of the Burrton Garden Club.

Preceding her in death were her husband, her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Dougal Carmichael, one brother, Everett and one great grand daughter, Heather Moulton.

Survivors: one son, Bernard, his wife, Maxine; one daughter, Barbara Hoskinson, her husband, Leon; six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday March 29 at the church with burial in Burrton cemetery.
