Obituary

Ruby Francis McNeill, 90, a former Burrton resident, died May 17, 1993 at Indian Creek Nursing Home, Overland Park, Kansas. She was born November 10, 1902 in Reno County Kansas, she was the daughter of Dougal and Cora Paden Carmichael. She was a 1920 graduate of Burrton High School, attended Phillips University, Enid, Oklahoma and was a graduate of Transylvania University, Lexington, Kentucky. She was a former Reno Coounty resident moving to Puducah, Kentucky in 1973 from Topeka. She was a homemaker and former teacher.

She was a member of the Maxon Christian Church, and the Homemakers Club,both at Paducah and was a member of the
First Christiaan Church and the American Assoc. of University Women, both of Topeka.

On April 26. 1926, she married Edward L. McNeill at Paducah. Survivors include her husband; three sosns, Neil McNeill, Overland Park, Everett McNeill, Albuquerque, N.M. and Ken McNeill, Rogers, Arkansas; daughter, Monita Timmons, Phoenix; sister, Virginia Steele, Mt. Hope eleven grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Graveside services were held in Burrton Cemetery.
