Obituary

Fred W. Schowalter, 84, died Monday morning at the Halstead Hospital after a short illness. He was born April 27, 1876 in Friedelsheim, Germanmy and came to the community 77 years ago. He was a retired farmer.

Suirvivors are two sons, William F., Halstead and Frederick, Colorado Springs, Colo; two daughters, Mrs. Dora Goeertz, San Marino, California and Mrs. Mildred DeWitt, Alden, Kansas; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral will be at the First Mennonite Church with burial in Halstead Cemetery.
