Obituary

Joohn Daniel Hege, 90, died Monday at Axtell Christian Hospital in Newton. He was born July 21, 1887 at Claflin, Kansas. He married Nellie L. Viersen November 26, 1908 at Greensburg, Kansas. He was a retired insurance and real estate agent and was a former Halstead resident, moving to Newton in 1974. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Newton and Odd Fellows Lodgeof Halstead.

Survivors include the widow; sons, Harold D., Sedgwick; Kenneth E., Emporia; daughters, Mrs. Zella N. Richey, Eureka, California; Mrs. Lois L. Griffith, Wichita; Mrs. Ruby Blankenship, Fresno, California; brother, Paul P., Wichita; sisters, Mrs. Esther Ashcraft, Kingman; Mrs. Hulda Bewick, Larchmont, New York; nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren.

Funeral will be at Draper-Cannon Cnapel, Newton. Burial will be in the Halstead Cemetery
