Obituary

Christina Lichti Hege, age 79 years, mothereof Jacob Henry and Peter Hege, died at the home of the latter, five miles east of Halstead, Friday morning at one o'clock. She was born May 17, 1838 at Wiginen, Bairen, Germany and died April 18. 1918 at Rural Halstead, Kansas. She was the daughter of Peter Lichti and Barbara Gerber Lichti.

She was married to Daniel Hege who was born April 28, 1834 at Branchweilerhof by Neustadt on the Hardt, Pfaiz, Bavaria and died January 27, 1874 in West Point, Iowa and is buried at West Point, Iowa.

The couple had 6 children: Jacob Henry; Maria (Mary);Peter August, Christina; Daniel J.;and Barbara Elisa.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Mennonite Church. Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery.
