Banks, Iola



AURORA, Colo. -- Iola Banks, 80, child care provider, died Tuesday (Jan. 25, 2000) at Aurora, Colo.

She was born March 19, 1919, in Newton to Henry and Birdie (Bledsoe) Oliver.

She was a member of Greater St. Mary's Missionary Baptist Church in Wichita and Lawry Community Christian Church in Aurora. She retired form Little Pals Day Care Center in Wichita.

Survivors include: one daughter, Rev. Allecia J. Hughes of Wichita; one sister, Helen J. Stubblefield of Aurora, Colo.; one grandchild; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Greater St. Mary's Missionary Baptist Church in Wichita with Pastor W. C. Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.

Vann-Gettis Funeral Services in Wichita is in charge of the arrangements.
