Obituary

Tillie Margaret Hege, 98, Newton, died Monday, Nov. 8, 1999 at Presbyterian Manor in Newton. She was born July 13, 1901 at Arlington, daughter of Edgar and Amalia Miller Ewy. A resident of Presbyterian Manor in Newton since 1988, she was a teacher and a homemaker. She was a member of Oxford, Kansas Christian Church and EHU.

She married Edgar Jacob Hege at Halstead on December 25, 1930. He died in 1964. Survivors include a son, E. Keith Hege, Tuscon, Arizona; sister, Martha Berger, North Newton; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Norman and a sister, Emma Ewy.

Funeral was Friday, Nov 12, at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead. Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery.
