Obituary

Peter A. Hege passed away early Tuesday morning, April 26, at his farm home east of Halstead following an extended illness. He had lived on this farm continously since 1905 after coming to Kansas from Iowa in 1901. He was born August 3, 1865 at West Point, Iowa and was the son of Daniel and Christina Lichti Hege.

Surviving him are his two sisters, Miss Mary Hege and Miss Christina Hege, both of the home, also many nephews and nieces.

Having reached the age of 83 years, 8 months and 23 days, he lived a rich and full life. He was a farmer all of his life; a good neighbor and a friend to many.

Funeral services were conducted from the Kaufman funeral chapel on April 18 with Rev. Gerald R. Black of the First Christian Church of Sedgwick officiating. Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery.
