Cadwell, George O.

George O. Cadwell, 80, died today at the Halstead Hospital after a short illness. He was a retired blacksmith. He was born April 14, 1891 and had lived in Halstead since 1919. He was the son of George Edwin and Phoebe Mackey Cadwell.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge of Halstead, Wichita Consistory, American Legion and Newton VFW post. He was a World War I veteran.

Survivors include his widow, Minnie J: brother, Milton of Claremont, California and one sister, Mrs. Alma Harned of Fort Scott, Kansas.

Services were held at the Kaufman Chapel with burial in the Halstead Cemetery.
