Obituary

Denise L. Oursler, 16, Newton, Route #4, a Newton High School senior and Presbyterian Manor employee, died Sunday July 16, 1989 in Newton, Kansas. Memorial services will be held at the Newton High School Audutorium on Tuesday and burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

She was born August 21, 1972 in Newton, daughter of Richard and Carolyn (Laurence) Oursler. She was a Newton High School cheerleader, member of the NHS diving team and participated in gymnastics at the school.

Cause of death was an accidental gun shot to the head. Survivors include her mother, Carolyn E. Oursler of rurl Newton; her father, Richard Oursler of Newton; one brother, David of Newton; one sister, Janette Oursler of Holdenville, Oklahoma and maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Clem Scoggin of Salina.
