Stutzman, Bert
Halstead Independent
Bert Stutzman died of injuriess received when he was run over by a tractor last Thursday. He was a well known farmer of the community southwest of Halstead.
He was riding on a tractor with his brother, Marion Stutzman, Leo Wendling, and his son-in-law, Ed Regier. Somehow he fell from the machine and one of the large wheels passed over him. He was brought immediately to the Halstead Hospital.
Mr. Stutzman, is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Bierschbach Stutzman, one daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Regier and son-in-law, Edwin Regier; mother, Mrs. Carrie Stutzman of Mt. Hope; two sisters and four brothers; Mrs. Hans Vollweider of Halstead; Mrs. Marion Parker of Burrton; Arthur Stutzman of Sedgwick, Raymond Stutzman of Liberal; Marion Stutzman of Burrton and Pvt. Floyd Stutzman of Camp Roberts California.
Funeral services were held at the Centennial church April 2, Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery.
