Oursler, Thomas Marion

The Newton Kansan

Thomas Marion Oursler died at the Bethel Deaconess hospital Tuesday afternoon, August 5, 1941. He had been in the hospital since August 1. The home is at 130 West 10th Street in Newton.

Mr. Oursler was a native of Ohio, born at Stout Ohio, October 5, 1861 and was 79 years, 10 months old. He had resided here for about 36 years. He was a salesman and later served as one of the city school janitors.

He was married to Miss Nina Cadwell at Halstead on Septemberr 10, 1907. Survivors: his wife, Nina; children; Homer Oursler, Florence, Kansas; Mrs. Myrtle Bair, Twin Falls, Idaho; Marion and Raymond Oursler, Newton; two step-sons, Harold Hoofer, Newton and John Hoover, Walden, Colorado; foster daughter, Mrs. Martha Shireman, Newton.

Funeral services were held at the First Methodist church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
