Parker, Elizabeth

Mrs. Elizabeth Parker, 76 years old, who had lived on the same farm near Burrton, Kansas for the past 50 years, died in a local hospital Monday.

Mrs. Parker was born in Mead 'Coounty, Kentucky and came to Kansas with her parents in 1873. Five years later, she married the late James M. Parker of Harvey County, Kansas. Mrs. Parker died on the same farm to which she and her husband moved when they were married. Mr. Parker homesteaded the land in 1872.

She became a member of the Centennial Church in 1881 and had been active in the church since that time. She was also a charter member of the Woman's Home Missionary Society.

Mrs. Parker is survived by the following children; Branson D. Parker, Mrs. Mary Stewart, Mrs. Julet Gibbins, Mrs. Nellie Vollweider, Marion D. Parker, and Mrs. Kate E. Croouch. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 7 great grandchidren.
