Obituary

Ruth B. Geist, 90, a retired home economics teacher at Halstead High School died July 2, 2006 at Memorial Home in Moundridge.

She was born December 15, 1915 to John W. and Kate Gerbrandt Regier in Moundridge. They preceded her in death. She married Edward A. Geist November 1, 1942 in Moundridge. He preceded her in death June 9, 2005

She was a member of First Mennoonite Church and Helianthos Club and was a long-time Y-Teen sponsor at Halstead High School. She was a member of the Bethel College Women's Association in North Newton.

Survivors: brother, John W. Regier of Moundrdige; sisters, Evelyn Habegger of Moundridge and Anna Fern Lakin of Salina; and 32 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Gertrude Harrell.

Memorial services were held at the First Mennonite Church in Halstead with Pastor Cleo Koop officiating. Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery.
