Obituary

Roberta Jean "Bobbie" Janzen, 63, Burrton, died September 5, 2001 at the Halstead Hospital. She was born July 27, 1938 at Sedgwick, daughter of Arnold and Charlotte Wagner Regier. She attended achool in Sedgwick.

On March 3, 1956 she married Jimmy Dale Janzen at Halstead. He survives of the home. They lived in Halstead until purchasing the Burrton Graphic, a weekly newspaper in 1959, which she and her husband edited and published for 16 years. She later worked several years at the grocery store in Burrton after which she became a full time homemaker. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Burrton, where she served as a Deaconess and Treasurer. She was a member of the Burrton Chamber of Commerce, Burrton Pride Committee, Tree Board and a driver for the Good Neighbor Nutritional Program.

Other survivors: two sons, Dave Janzen and wife Linda, Brad Janzen and wife B. J., both of Burrton, one daughter, Cindi Gaines and husband, Dave of Peabody; 6 grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Johnny Regier.

Services were held at the First Christian Church in Burrton. Burial was in the Burrton Cemetery.
