Betty Ruth Consieine, 74, died Friday, August 2, 2002 at her home in Halstead. She was born May 31, 1928 at Pawhuska, Oklahoma, the third of six children born to Carl J. and Leona Foley Lingreen. The family moved to Burrton when she was eight years old. She attended Burrton schools graduating from Burrton High School in 1946.
On November 29, 1952, she married Robert J. Considine at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Halstead. After graduation from high school, she worked in Hutchinson at Week's Drug. In 1948 she went to work at Boeing Aircraft, where she worked until she had children. After her children got older, she went to work as an executive secretary at Thunander & Son, a manufactured home supplier in rural Halstead. She worked there until her retirement in 1990. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, and watching baseball on television. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother whose greatest joy was spending time playing and visiting with her grandson.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Club Amicarum, both of Halstead. Survivors: husband, Robert of the home; daughter, Tami Clark and her husband, Rick of Paola, Kansas; son, Barry Considine and his wife, Kerrie, Burrton; grandson, Zane Clark of Paola; two brothers, Joe Lingreen, Great Bend, and Jerry Lingreen, Oklahoma City.
She was preceded in death by her pareents; two brothers, Donald and Stanley Lingreen and a sister, Virginia Morris.
Memorial Mass was held at the Sacres Heart Catholic Church. Burial followed in Halstead Cemetery.
