Vera M. Grimwood died November 23,, 2006 in Sedgwick. Visitation will be Monday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, Newton. Service Tuesday, Sedgwick Christian Church.

She was born Marcn 12, 1928 to the late James A. and Sara Newhouser Stonebraker in Osborne, Kansas. On March 21, 1953 she married Lee Grimwood in Newton. She was a long time member of the Sedgwick Christian Church. She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary, Sedgwick County 40&8, and active in the Sedgwick Historical Society. She loved to play bridge. She also adopted many of the homeless cats in Sedgwick.

Survivors: Husband, Lee; sons, James T. "Ted" of Sedgwick; Dr. John of Portsmouth, Virginia; daughter, Alice K. Renner, Bellevue, Nebraska; two grandchildren.

Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick.
