Obituary

Joyce Irene McGinn, 55, died Novembe 21, 2004 at her home in Sedgwick. She was born June 23, 1949 at Wichita, the daughter of Robert E. and Alvera A. Schoenecker Johnson. She owned and operated the Hair Cellar for 30 years until her death. She belonged to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Altar Society, Sedgwick Booster Club, was a United Way volunteer and served as a director of the Fall Festival for many years.

On May 3, 1969 she married Michael "Mick" McGihn. He survives. Other survivors include; her mother, Alvera Johnson,Sedgwick; three sons, Michael P. and Scott B., both of Sedgwick; Steven J. McGinn, Newton; daughter, Michele S. McGinn, Chicago; three brothers, Sydney R. Johnson, Wichita; Robert E. Johnson II, Tulsa, Oklahoma and Edmond J. Johnson, Sedgwick; three sisters, Anita I. Holland, Slidell, Louisiana, Patricia A. Ropp, Los Gatos, California; and Marcella K. Aycock of Sedgwick; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, an infant daughter, Mary Angela McGinn and a sister, Mary Jane Dealy.

Rosary was held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Halstead. Funeral services were held at the church. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick, ansas.
