Obituary

John Harold Hansen, 78, died December 20, 2006 at Hutchinson Hospital. He was born July 30. 1928 in rural Sedgwick, the son of John Frederick and Melissa Pearl Taylor Hansen. A resident of Hutchinson, he was a farmer. He belonged to Mount Hope Federated Church and was a former member of Halstead Lions Club.

On June 24, 1951 he married Helen J. Huck in Wilmore, Kansas. She survives. Other survivors include: two sons, Mike of McPherson and Ron of Maize; daughter, Patti Moore, Mesa, Arizona; two sisters, Vera Pike, Hutchinson and Helen Pulliam, Wichita; four grandchildren; three step grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and as step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter.

Services were held at the First Methodist Church in Halstead with the Rev. Jennifer Whitt officiating. Burial will be in the Halstead cemetery.
