Obituary

Donald C. Holman, 84, died December 29, 2006 at Presbyterian Manor, Newton.

He was born Maya 31, 1922 in Wichita, the son of Orel D. and Ilda M. Cooper Holman. A resident of Halstead, he was a dentist at Hertzler Clinic, Halstead. He belonged to the Old Main Church of Christ, Newton, Halstead Lions Club and was a life membere of the American Dental Association and the Pierre Fauchard Academy.

He married Helen E. Hudson on January 25, 1947. She died December 29, 1974. On January 31, 1976 he married Nelda J. Montgomery Farmer in Wichita. She survives.

Other survivors include; two sons, Gary, Allen, Texas and Brent, Fargo, North Dakota; daughter, Rhonda Holman Welch, Wichita; stepson, Sam Farmer; five stepdaughters, Linda Pitts, Halstead; Dee Lemons, Denton, Texas; Jody Casebolt, Valley Center, Debbie Melli, Wichita and Kim Robinson, Newton; 23 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a half sister, Doris I. Jordan.

Funeral will be Tuesday at Northside Church of Christ Wichita, with David King, and Louis Tandy presiding. Visitation will be at Kaufman Funeral Home in Halstead. Burial will be in Halstead Cemetery.
