Obituary

Mrs. Pauline Schapowsky Stewart, 59, died Saturday morning in Grace Hospital in Hutchinson after an illness of seven years.

She was born February 9, 1907 in Halstead. She graduated from the Halsted High School in 1926 and from Halstead School of Nursing in 1929. She married Homer Stewart in 1931 and they moved to Hutchinson from Mt. Hope in 1952.

Survivors besides the widower include two daughters, Mrs. Glen Rodgers of Hutchinson; Mrs. Lyle Newby of Haven and a son, Allan, of Lyons; sisters, Mrs. Ida Kienzle; Miss Mary Schaplowsky, Hutchinson;; Mrs. Anna Wirtz, Ellinwood; Mrs. Cecelia Vierthaler, Halstead; Mrs. Agnes McGinn, Sedgwick; Mrs. Ella Northcott, Tyler, Texas; Mrs. Lucille Hanson, Eugene, Oregon; brothers, Andrew Schaplowsky, Boise, Idaho; Fred Schaplowsky, Harvey, Illinois; Herman Schaplowsky, Garden City; nine grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday in Hutchinson with burial in the Halstead Cemetery.
