Obituary

F. W. (Wesley) Hyde, 72, passed away at his home east of Halstead Thursday afternoon. He was born August 30, 1891 near Burrton, the son of F. E. and Amanda Stutzmaan Hyde. He had been a resident of the Halstead Community 68 years. He was a farmer and the bindweed supervisor for Harvey county the last 20 years. He married Gertrude Arrowsmith March 9, 1912 at Sedgwick. He was a member of the Bentley Methodist Church.

Survivors: his widow, Gertrude; son, Charles of Newton; two sisters, Mrs. Flora Fry of Sedgwick and Mrs. Jessie McClure of Wichita and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from the Firsst Methodist Church with Rev. Calvin Warburton of Newton officiating. Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery.
