Mrs. Marie Elizabeth Steffen an her grandson, Michael Eugene Shives, 7 mopnths old son of Mr. & Mrs. Delbert Shives goth died in a two-car accident at a country road intersection two miles sooutheast of Burrton.

Mrs. Steffen was born December 14, 1899 in Germany. She came to the United States 37 years ago and had been a resident of Burrton since that time.

Survivors: include her husband, Joseph, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. George Summers, Mitchell, Nebraska and Mrs. Delbert Shives, Burrton; two sons, Victor, Hutchinson and Frank, Burrton; one brother; Joseph Hydock, Neosho Rapids, Kansasand three other brothers and two sisters inGermany and 7 grandchildren.
