Obituary

John Hoover Wilmore, 69, a lifetime resident of the Sedgwick-Halstead-Bentley communities, died at his rural residence on December 23, 1972 after a long illness.
He was born September 30, 1903, the son of Charles Franklin and Rachel Hoover Wilmore of rural Sedgwick. He was a retired farmer. He married Margaret M. Ellis at Halstead September 10, 1926. He was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church west of Bentley, Kansas.

Survivors include his widow, Margaret; one son, Richard E. of Garden City, Kansas; two daughters, Mrs. Juanita Blaseel of LaJunta, Colorado and Mrs. Arlene Stahlheber of Garden Grove, California; one brother, Waldo of Topeka; and one sister, Ardis A. Wilmore of Kansas City Missouri; eleven grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the church. Burial was in Halstead Cemetery.
