Obituary

Arnold B. Ratzlaff, 77, Route #2, Sedgwick, retired farmer and lifetime area rsident, died this morning, September 21, 1983 at Bethel Deaconess Hospital. Services will be conducted at the Zion Lutheran Church Friday and burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.

He was born April 27, 1906 in Perry, Oklahoma; the son of Peter and Evalina Ratzlaff. On January 23, 1931 he married Dorothy Steele in Newton. She survives of the home. Other survivors include two daughters, Irene Younkman of Newton and Evelyn Jones of Horton, Kansas; one adopted son, Carl D. Walter of Hillsboro; two sisters, Eva Ratzlaff of Newton and Matilda Chapple of rural Newton; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one grandson.
