Obituary

Fred R. Hasler, resident of Harvey County for 84 years, died at Haven, Kansas, Monday, August 23, 1965.

He was born in Sringfield, Missosuri, February 17, 1877, son of Fritz and Barbara Storey Hasler, he operated the Hasler Orchard north of Halstead for many years. After his retirement, he moved to Halstead. His first wife, the former Mary Harr passed away in 1958 and on April 15, 1959 he married Mrs. Cora Moots. He was a member of the First Methodist Church in Halstead and the Odd Fellows Lodge.

Survivors include his widow, two sons, Elmer of Wichita and Fred W. of Inman; two daughters, Mrs. Ruby Hensley of Newton and Mrs. Ruth Peterson of San Jose, California; four step children; seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; one brother, Ernest of Denver, Colorado.

Funeral services were held August 26, 1965 with Rev. H. G. Feldmann officiating. Burial was in the Hasltad Cemetery.
