Penner, Adina

MOUNDRIDGE -- Adina Penner, 93, nurse aide at Bethel Clinic, died Thursday (Jan. 4, 2001) at Memorial Hospital in McPherson.
She was born Dec. 17, 1907, to John C. and Caroline (Koehn) Boese in rural Burrton. She married Marcus M. Penner Aug. 15, 1929, in Burrton. He preceded her in death July 28, 1990.
She was a member of First Mennonite Church in Halstead.
Survivors include: three sons, Keith A. Penner of Burrton, Paul M. Penner of Assaria and Maurice D. Penner of Acampo, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by: an infant daughter; two brothers, Henry Boese and Tobias Boese; and five sisters, Helen Koehn, Susie Koehn, Marie Penner, Elizabeth Boese and Nettie Boese.
Graveside service was Monday at Restlawn Gardens of Memory in Newton.
Memorial service was Monday at First Mennonite Church in Halstead with Pastor Cleo Koop officiating.
Memorials have been established with First Mennonite Church in care of the funeral home, 418 Chestnut Street, Halstead, KS 67056.
