Homer C Stewart

Homer C. Stewart, 83, Hutchinson, died July 20, 1990 at Mt. Hope Nursing Center, Mt. Hope, Kansas He was born May 9, 1907 at Lewis, Kansas, son of Clyde and Mary Parker Stewart. He was Halstead High School graduate. He had been a longtime resident of Hutchinson and formerly of Mt. Hope and Halstead. He was a retired farmer and heavy equipment operator.

He married Pauline Schaplowsky May 9, 1931 at Halstead. She died May 14, 1966. He later married Marian Barnard Nov. 2, 1966. She died May 12, 1972. He then married Isabel Robuck on May 17, 1975. She died June 22, 1987. He then married Nona Maye Banz November 12, 1988 at Hutchinson.

He was a member of the Hutchinson Christian Church and American Association of Retired Persons Chapter #451 of Hutchinson.

Survivors: Wife of the home, one son, Alan Stewart, Cheney, Kansas; two daughters, Joan Rodgers, Hutchinson and Jean Newby, Haven; one sister, Maude Halverstadt, Bartlesville, Okla.

Services were held at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson. Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery.
