Obituary

Melisa M. Davis, 74, Sedgwick, died Thurday November 10, 1994 at Kinberling City, Missouri. She was born December 19, 1919 in Beaver County, Oklahoma, the daughter of Omar and Jennie M. Stripe Minton. A Sedgwick resident for the past 48 years, she was a nurses's aide at the Halstead Hospital. She was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church, Sedgwick, the Rebekah Lodge, Bentley, a former leader of the Bentley Eagle 4-H Club and a past officer of Sedgwick Senior Citizens.

On September 3, 1939 she married Floyd J. Davis in Beaver County, Oklahoma. He died March 18, 1989. Survivors include two daughters, Sarah Jane Farber, Halstead and Marlene Kay Murch, San Angelo, Texas; a brother, Albert Minton, Jefferson, Texas; a sister, Bonnie Smith, Turpin, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Services were held November 14 at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead. Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery.
