Obituary

Kevin J. Hughes, 33, of 4102 S. Oliver, sheet metal fabricator at Moridge Manufacturing in Moundridge, died at his home. Date of death was unavailable at press time.

He was born March 24, 1962 in Newton to A. Wayne and Bonnie L. McCann Hughes. His parents survive of rural Newton. He was a lifetime resident of Newton and attended Halstead schools. He was a membeer of Salem United Methodist Church.

Other survivors include one daughter, Amanda Jo Hughes of Newton; one brother, Darren Hughes of Newton; one sister, Jane Hanes of Marion; and maternal grandmother, Genevieve McCann of Buhler.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Petersen's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. W. Lawrence Grove of the Salem United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the Make-A-Wish Foundation in care of the funeral home.
