Obituary

Miss Isabella Charlton was born in Pennsylvanaia on August 2, 1840 and died in Newton, Kansas April 21, 19`9, age 78 years, 9 months, 19 days. She went to make her home with her uncle Samuel Akins at the age of sixteen in Illinois and with that family, came to Kansas in 1871 and had lived with part of the family until her death on the old homestead. She leaves one brother and three cousins, nieces and nephews to mouorn her loss.

The funeral services were held Thursday afternoon from the Methodist Church in Halstead with the Rev. C. D. Danner in charge. Burial was in the City Cemetery.
