Obituary

Giles E. Day, 95, of Burrton, a retired grain elevator manager died Sunday November 6, 1983 at Kansas Christian Home in Newton. He was the brother of Gladys Swann of Burrton.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Burrton Christian Church. Burial will be in Burrton Cemetery.

He was born September 30, 1888 in Burrton, he married Sadie Mourn January 29, 1913 in Hutchinson. She preceeded him in death April 4, 1961. He had been a lifetime Burrton resident. He wqs a member of the church and the Modern Woodmen of America.

Other survivors: one son, two daughters, nine grandchildren and twelve greatgrandchildren.
