Obituary

August J. Koeneman, 88, route 3, Newton, died Sunday evening at Axtell Christian Hospital. He was born February 14, 1886 at Canton, the son of August and Catherine Koeneman. He was a retired farmer and had lived in this area most of his life.

He married Clara C. Bullingeer. She died March 22, 1959. Survivors: one daughter, Mrs. Edna Rosefeld, Route 4, Newton; two sons, Arthur G., Penalosa and Lester A., Route #3 Newton; two sisters, Mrs. Louise Pease, Newton and Mrs. Minnie Vogts, Canton; one step-daughter, Mrs. Mary Sattler, Udall; six grandchildren and seven great randchildren.

Services will be held Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
