Obituary

Mrs. Katherine Kroeker, 78, formerly of 720 Old Main, died Friday afternoon, May 9, 1975, at Bethel Home for the Aged. She was born November 16, 1896 in Sebastak, Crimea, South Russia, the daughter of Dietrich and Elizabeth Janzen.

She married John J. Kroeker in 1918 in Crimea. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Kroeker came to Newton from Chicago in 1936. She was a member of the First Mennonite Church and the Senior Auxiliary of the Bethel Deaconess Hospital.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Walter (Anna) Thiesen, Newton; one son, Jacob Kroeeker, Wichita; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Kroeker and Mrs. Elizabeth Kroeker, both of Winnipeg, Alta, and three grandchildren.

Services will be held at the church with Dr. Albert Epp officiating . Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
