Obituary

Joseph Lester Ryan, 67, Bakersfield, California, son of Alfred Ryan, Newton, died unexpectedly Friday in Houston, Texas. He was born October 15, 1907 at King City, Missouori, son of Alfred Leroy and Gertie Dawes Ryan. He married Lola Reed December 26, 1937 in Corpus Christi, Texas. They had lived in Bakersfield since 1957. He was a retired sales manager for the Bowen Tool Company.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Bakersfield and the Masonic Lodge, Odessa, Texas. He is survived by his widow of the home and his father of the Kansas Christian Home.

Services will be held Tuesday in the Draper-Cannon Chapel with Rev. Jerry Griffin officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
