Stanfield, James

The Newton Kansan

James Stanfield, 78, Valley Center, died Monday June 30, 1975 at Bethel Deaconess Hospital in Newton. He was born September 28, 1896 at Halstead. He married Bessie Draper February 25, 1926 at Wellington. He was a retired tool crib attendant at Beech Aircraft and had lived in Valley Center since 1945. He was a veteran of World Sar I and a member of the American Legion.

Survivors: wiidow of the home; two sons, Robert, Valley Center and James Jr., Excelsior Springs, Missouri; one daughter, Mrs. Eda Mae Thompson, Lawrence; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Hamm, Butler, Missouri and Helen Stanfield, Sedgwick; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Services will be held Wednesday at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead with burial in the Hillside Cemetery in Sedgwick.
